KAO Password change and account activation

In this service you can change your password and check your account. Additionally, users over 18 years old can activate a new account.

Over 18 Years Old

Authenticate with Suomi.fi service using online banking codes, mobile certificate, or electronic ID card. After successful authentication, you will return to this service and be able to change your password.

• New user account. If you do not have a user account yet, after authentication, you must accept the Kainuu Vocational College IT services terms of use, activate your user account, and change your password. Additionally, you must enable two-factor authentication according to the instructions.
• Forgotten username or password. After authentication, you can change your password. Your username will be displayed when changing the password. If you use the service only to check your username, you can cancel the service without changing the password.

Under 18 Years Old

• Forgotten username or password. Authenticate with a one-time verification code sent to your phone. After authentication, you can change your password. Your username will be displayed when changing the password. If you use the service only to check your username, you can cancel the service without changing the password.

Users over 18 years old cannot use this authentication method.
